| I am trying to enable the CTRL-ALT-DEL requirement at logon. I gave up on figuring it out myself and resorted to the Knowledge Base. But when I follow the directions they have, I do not have the same screens. The instructions are as follows, according to Article Q308226: 1. Open User Accounts in Control Panel. 2. Click the Advanced tab. 3. In Secure logon, select the Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete check box. The problem is that I do not have an Advanced tab in the User Accounts window to click on, even when signed in as Administrator. Any ideas why? | Guest

| Sounds like you read information for the wrong operating system. You're using Windows XP I'm assuming, and to enable the classic logon (where you must type a user name) do (almost) like it said in what you read: Go to the Control Panel Go to the User Accounts icon Now... under the Pick a Task... select the last option (last green arrow) which is "Change the way users log on or off". There will be two check boxes. One is "Use the Welcome Screen". Uncheck this box, and you'll have the CTRL+ALT+DEL prompt at logon. | Guest
