trouble finding a 3rd party plug in

I downloaded a plug in from Alien Skin (Splat) and it works fine, then I downloaded another one and can't find it in PS. It's not at the bbottom of the filters menu, and it's not in "other". Where else might it be?

If you put the filter in your Photoshop plug-ins folder and it does not show up after you relaunch Photoshop, it is probably because it's not compatible with your OS.

Many plug-ins that worked with Photoshop 7 in Mac OS 9 are not available if you are using OSX -- which means that they won't work with Photoshop CS.
