Trouble from explorer.exe

Hi,

I have a file system filter driver, which is continuously
monitoring the files accessed in the system. This was
originally designed for Windows 2000, but now using with
Windows XP and 2003 also. Now the problem is, I am getting
so many unwanted accesses from explorer.exe. For eg, if I
try to start an application, there will be a set of file
access to this executable from explorer.exe. This is
making trouble to me. I don't know why this is happening
in XP and 2003.
Can any one point out the basis of this behavior? Is there
any documentation about the implementation of
explorer.exe? Any information regarding this will be great
help for me.
