Trouble getting music samples to play

each time i try and listen to a music sample sy from Barnes and Noble, my
plays displays the following:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is located on the
internet, connect to the internet. If the file is located a removable storage
card, insert the storage card"

I'm always connected.

can any one help please
