Trouble with Sound Please Help

realtek soundcard (pretty sure its installed on the motherboard) and now for
some reason there is no sound. I've tried reconnnecting the speakers going
back to the built it ones in the moniter and just about everything else. Now
I'm pretty sure something is wrong with the soundcard but when I check it it
says that its working properly. Has anyone else had this kind of problem? Do
I need to download some new driver or something?
