Trying to add my TV as New Hardware...

I'm having problems adding my TV as new hardware to my
computer. The computer will finally detect the TV as new
hardware but I need to choose what type of hardware it is
from the listings in "Add New Hardware"...what do I
choose?
Thanxs,
Steven

Doesn't work like that Steven.

a) Ensure you have updated drivers for your graphics card.

b) Connect tv to PC and turn TV on.

c) Reboot PC. XP should now 'see' it has a tv attached.

d) Right click on the desktop and select properties. On the Settings tab,
click on Advanced and look for the Monitor tab.

e) Switch output from monitor to TV. Remember that the S-Video cable
carries video only. Audio will still emanate from PC's speakers.

How are you connecting it that you would need to see it in device manager?
Typically, a tv would be plugged into your video card and would function as
an additional monitor. No "new hardware" wizard would ever run.
