| Hi! The question is: How to turn some external devices off. I mean a method such as script run at system shutdown, because Windows doesn't want to shut down when i.e. USB Scanner is on. I know that drivers are O.K. and i've tried almost everything to fix the problem. Now I think the best solution is to automatically turn off all USB devices during system shutdown procedure. I suppose the solution is somehere in the registry. -- greetings, jakros | Guest

| It didn't help at all - system & drivers & BIOS are up to date. Now my only hope is in turning USB devices off during system shutdown. I think it may be done by some regkey or some call to kernel32.dll -----Original Message----- Quote:

| Does ANYONE know how to turn off USB devices by a call to kernel32.dll or so??? I mean sth what i can place as a script in registry to be called on system shutdown. 1. Does anyone know where is the magic place in registry responsible for shutdown sequence? 2. What is the key/call responsible for turning devices off? Quote:
