Turtle Beach Santa Cruz driver installtion problem XP pro SP1

Posted: 10-09-2003, 12:50 AM
when I install the santa cruz sound card driver, get
error message saying problem installing the driver. If
go to the device manager and try to update the driver,
get error saying the access denied.

Anyone knows how to solve the problem?

Thanks,

Have you tried going directly to the device Manufacturer's web site and
checking for an updated drivers there instead of using the link in Device
Manager?

Also try to uninstall the driver and then physically remove it from the
system. Then re-install the latest version you have acquired.

I tried all these things. I tried the driver from the CD, from their
website. Nothing worked. It seems that the error happens when the driver
is being copied to the appropriate place (ie the animated copying dialogue
box). I even reinstalled the OS, moved the card to different PCI slots.

This is driving me crazy.
