Which side do you want the TV Out to work - the server or client?
With the client, it is possible, but I wouldn't recommend watching a
movie over RD due to performance.

As for the server end, it is not possible at this time as the console
session will lock once you connect via remote desktop.

I wouldn't guarantee that.... It would still be much faster
locally... (The speed of the video over a network link is much slower
than if it is on the local hardware running at bus speed)...

this topic is of highest interest for me!
My host PC has a TV-Out and serves as a PVR in my home. I'm feeding the
video signal from the TV-Out into my home cable net. Now I've got a Smart
Display (Viewsonic V150). It would be really cool if I could control the
HTPC frontend (or any media player) from the SD, while the video signal is
still available on the TV-Out. I understand it's a 'feature' of the RDP that
it disables the entire video card. Is there any hope that it will work in
the future? Or is there an alternative? Even if it would require another
piece of hardware, it could be interesting (if it's not too expensive...)
