two problems, help!!

First...When I boot up windows xp family edition i get
this message: data1.dat not found? That's this mean and
what do I need to do to fix it, if anything.

Second...when I try to install a software burning program
fior my LG CD burner I get the message ``no supported
drivers found.''

How do I reinstall drivers for the CD ROM (I have tried
disconnecting and reconnencting the CD ROM, hoping that
Windows XP will recognize the CD ROM as new hardware and
then go looking for drives but this doesn't work either.
