UAP - IE - standard browser setting problems

Posted: 03-24-2006, 02:32 PM
When an application modifies the standard browser setting:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\htmlfile\shell\open\command

The Internet Explorer will detect it and if you want to
switch back to IE, the registry modifications set by
IE will only take place in the VirtualStore. So it looks
like the IE is not able to claim the standard browser
settings back.

Yeah this is not going to be possible. PA and LUA will both have problems
writing to this location. I would also bet you see IE eventually compiled
with NOVERT.
