| Hi: By using 'Guest' account, I attempted to create another, a brand new account for my cousin who may need e-mail box when she stays with me at X-mas time. After having created both Mail and MS Newsgroup, a rectangular box popping up in the middle of the screen, .... "Server NOT found, .... " I am unable to upload any for this, Guest Account although I did 'turn-on' button by accessing Administrator which is mine. What went wrong with this? I did every possible way to succeed in creating 'Guest' account, but it's still the same, .... keep popping-up 'warning' box. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, | Guest

I would create a Standard account for your cousin instead. It should work without any problems. The Guest account has to many restrictions for what you are wanting. | The Guest account is used for many things, such as simple file sharing between computers where name/password access is neither required nor desired. A bit of research will show you other reasons it exists. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] rgharper@gmail.com * NEW! Here's Microsoft's definition of a Guest account. 'Windows Vista Help: What is a guest account?' (http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...41c391033.mspx) I just find it to restricted to be very useful for much, IMO. You can always delete the Standard account for your cousin when done with it. | Thanks for the response. I thought 'Guest' implicates for a person who needs temporary e-mail and ms.group to read. However, I see it now as reading your response. Wonder what purpose 'Guest' account for? Any idea? "brink" <brink.31pbc4@no-mx.forums.net> wrote in message news:brink.31pbc4@no-mx.forums.net... Quote:
