Unable to install java packages

Posted: 01-13-2009, 03:08 PM
I am trying to do a repair install on a Dell laptop running Win XP SP1. I am
using the original Dell Windows setup disc. During several attempts the
computer just hung either at 32 minutes or 10 minutes. This time I have
gotten the following message:

Java Package Manager
Unable to install Java packages.
The command line is invalid.

Does anyone out there have any ideas how to deal with this? TIA
