Unable to run Excel 2003

Posted: 02-01-2009, 10:52 PM
When I try to start Excel I get a message "sku1e3.cab cannot be found" and
Excel will not run. I use Windows XP.
Any ideas what the problem is and how I can overcome it.
Thanks

Hi mate,

I'd personally suggest uninstalling and re-installinjjg excel/office, then
re-installing as it may have corupt.

If no luck then you may want to run a update on it, so the windows website
can try fix it for you

Hope this helps

I also have this problem. I have the discs but my cd drive has 'died'. I
copied the discs onto a usb pendrive but it still can't find sku1e3.cab. I
tried to run the setup to reinstall excel but it still can't find sku1e3.cab.
should I be able to reinstall excel from apendrive I this way?
I think the problem was caused when my son downloaded some software and then
uninstalled it, but I forget what he said it was for.

I have the sme problem, my son downloaded some software and installed and
uninstalled i, then Excel doesn't work because it can't find sku1e3.cab. I
have the CDs, but my CD drive has 'died'so I used another pc to copy the
discs onto a usb pen drive, but it still can't find sku1e3.cab even when I
ran the setup to reinstall excel. What now?
