Looking for help, please

My PC has been providing sound quite normally, until last few days, now it won't produce any sound at all. Have gone into Control Panel (Sounds & Audio devices) - under 'Volume', it reads " No audio device"

I have re-installed software for Soundblater but this has not helped

Can anyone suggest what I can do next, please? (I am a relative novice, so please keep it understandable !)
