| We were having trouble with our comp being slow, so I decided to try the guest account to see if it was problems with the desk top. When I went to user accounts to turn guest account on, I found a user account not set up by us and that does not show up on welcome screen. It is ASP.NET Machine A..., Limited Account, and password protected. If I try to change password, delete, rename, etc. it says I will lose all EFS-encrypted files, personal certificates, and stored passwords for Web sites or network resources. We do not know how this got there, is it maybe necessary for a download such as limewire, it has shown up recently. Don't know if I can delete, if we've been hacked or what, makes no sense to me. | Guest

| I don't believe so because those initials don't sound like anything to me, but let me know what they stand for, and I could be wrong. "Darin Dugan" wrote: Quote:

| I just happened to be on add/remove windows components looking for a missing game, and I now see that IIS is internet information services. It was not checked off, so no I do not have it installed on my computer. "browneyedgirl" wrote: Quote:

| If you can make sure IIS is not installed on your computer. You can delete this ASP.NET account directly and ignore the warning message. But ASP page will not work if IIS was installed on your computer and you deleted the account. -- We are IT S.W.A.T. "browneyedgirl" wrote: Quote:

| thankyou for all the help. I have deleted the account, and everything seems to be working fine, so I don't think I did lose anything important. Thanks again. Would still like to know how it got added, but oh well! "Malke" wrote: Quote:

| I think it is installed when you install the .Net framework. Colin "browneyedgirl" wrote: Quote:
