UNinstall a driver for a device that doesn't exists

Posted: 10-31-2003, 10:17 AM
On my PC, under the device manager manue there are "Legacy
Audio Drivers" and "Legacy Video Capture Devices" entry.
There is no such physical device installed in my PC. I
tried to uninstalled the driver, but when I click on the
device description, all it dispaly is "this device is
working properply" but there is not an option that allows
me to unstalled the driver like you can with other
device. I believe it is this "Legacy Audio Drivers" that
is causing my sound card's driver not working properply.
Is there a way to uninstall this driver without using
window's device manager (i.e delect the registor releated
to this driver and the actual driver itselve)?
