Uninstall a printer

I have a user on XP Pro who can not print from IE or
Outlook. He can print from other apps. like word. I went
to delete the printer and get an error something like "the
network printer connection can not be removed". I suspect
it is a corupt driver but how do I remove it to get it to
take the new driver? The user has Admin rights on the box.
