Uninstalling Vista?

Vista is having to many problems on my machine. Is there a simple way to
uninstall and go back to XP or do I have to format and start all over?

Boot from your XP CD and use the text based setup to format the partition.

Probably you won't need to reformat your disk. Maybe XP's "diskpart" or
another hard disk utility provided with XP may recreate the boot sector and
do the job, as long as the original XP's boot files (NTDETECT.COM, BOOT.INI
and ntldr) are there (you may need to extract them from your XP CD-ROM).

The way to uninstall is simple. Just use PartitionMagic and convert NTFS
filesystem to FAT32 then erase windows folders on hard drive and next run
the XP rescue console and fix things that are responsible for booting XP.
