Unknow Error Has Occured-- Little Fix

I found that I was able to use shortcut keys to fix my problem. I had over
180 deleted messages and I couldn't use the 'empty deleted folder' option.
Instead I found that, if I press "ALT" then "E" then "Y", I was able to
permanently delete my messages one by one.
Time consuming, but it worked for me. Maybe it'll work for you , too.
