i just transferred a folder of photos from an old computer using Windows Easy
Transfer, then i moved that folder into a different folder on my new computer
than the folder that it had automatically transferred into.
when i highlighted a photo in the original folder that it transferred into
(before moving the transferred folder), 12 different "details" were listed in
the details pane at the bottom of the screen (including camera model, f-stop,
exposure time, focal length, and metering mode), but after i moved the folder
to a different folder, most of those details vanished from the details pane
(although the details pane is STILL there -- it just has fewer and different
details listed).
i have not touched the "choose details" option under "view" but it has the
same 5 items selected (and only 5 items) for the folder (no matter which
folder it's in), and the "customize this folder" also has identical settings
(for the transferred folder AND the original folder it transferred to AND the
new folder that i'd like to move it to).
can anybody tell me what i need to do to retain ALL those details that
appeared at the bottom of the original folder, even if i move it to a new
folder i've created?? i would think this should be done automatically
without me having to make additional selections under "choose details" ...
shouldn't it?? thanks for your help!!
P.S. sorry, i realize this isn't THAT critical of an issue. but i have a
TON of photos/videos i'm planning to transfer to this new computer and i'd
love to see all those nifty details without having to jump through a bunch of
hoops that it doesn't SEEM i should have to jump through!
