up dates, minor question

No Rush.
running: XP-Pro sp1, all update (to date), I have gone to Windows Up Date
Center, click check my installs. It say that I have not installed any
up-dates. Any ideas why?

Try clearing your Temporary Internet Files folder. Open IE, go to Tools,
select Internet Options, on the General tab, click delete files and accept
the option to delete all offline content.

Also, open Windows Explorer, click the plus sign next to the Windows folder,
click the plus sign next to the System32 folder, if you see a catroot2
folder, NOT catroot folder but catroot2, rename the catroot2 folder to
catroot2old, reboot the system and try Windows Update again.
