updated blaster, now printer gone!

So I gave my boss directions on getting the update to keep
out the big bad worm. Everything went swimmingly, until he
needed to print an email attachment - suddenly the default
printer (shows default in "printers") isn't available and
furthermore, I can't seem to get any printers in the list
to add a printer. We went by the book, well, the screen
actually, to update his laptop for the dreaded worm, now I
have to figure out how to get him printing tomorrow (he's
out for golf now, hope I can get a fix!). I'm no IT, I'm
just the gopher here, help!
