Microsoft has seen data indicating that some customers have been updating
ATI video drivers (atikmdag.sys) and Intel Networking drivers (NETw2v32.sys)
from the vendor's websites or from Windows Update.
Unfortunately at this time the drivers obtained from these sites are OLDER
than
those shipped with recent Vista builds. These old drivers have a number of
blue screen issues which have been fixed in the drivers currently shipping
with recent
Vista builds.
Microsoft recommends that users NOT replace their inbox ATI or Intel drivers
with drivers from the manufacturer's websites or from Windows Update until
newer drivers can be propagated there. This applies to Vista builds near to
RC1.
