I upgraded from win-me to win-xp but I cant get my dial-

xp. Any suggestions to resolve this problem.

Greetings --

If the modem's manufacturer can't or won't provide WinXP-specific
drivers for your modem, you best option may well be to replace it with
one that is WinXP-Compatible.

All I know about this modem is what information I got
from the installation screen :PCI 56k voice
modem\Conexant. But I understand Conexant doesnt make
modems just the chips for modems. Also when I open the
tower the only numbers I can see where the phone jack is
are MC700, is there somewhere else I need to look for
more info?

Does anyone know of an available upgrade, regardless of
cost, to upgrade Windows ME to Windows XP? Thanks!

Of course. There's nothing special about doing this. You can use
the regular XP Upgrade version. It comes in both the Professional
and Home Edition.

Hi Terry,

You can upgrade either Win98 or Win98SE to WinXP.

Upgrading is easy. Just purchase the Windows XP Pro Upgrade ( I think it's
about $150), and pop in the disk. Make sure to choose Upgrade and not Clean
Install when prompted. The rest is virtually automatic.
