upgrade from pre-RC1 to RC1

Posted: 09-07-2006, 01:38 PM
Well,

Upgrade works fine - I just lost transparency in Aero (Intel 950GMA). No
idea how to turn it back on. There is an option in Control Panel "Enable
transparency" but turning it on don't make nay change. Every time I open
"Personalize ... " this option is turned off.

Any additional requirements for RC1?

Best regards,
Christopher

I don't know why, maybe because I changed background wallpaper ;-),
but suddenly transparency started to work...

Did you check under Personalization > Windows Color and Appearance > Open
classic appearance properties for more color options > Windows Aero?

I did all of that, maybe the problem was that my installation was an
upgrade. So I had to change or overwrite all the display settings I made on
pre-Rc1.
I was trying to change Colors, Themes, background, tried to see graphics
card properties and see advanced options in Display Properties. I think it
must had been the Video Driver, because Upgrade Advisor for Vista RC1 was
telling me that my graphics card has only 32MB. Now I see there is 64MB
allocated for graphics card and system is running fine.
