upgrade options to vista

Posted: 10-21-2007, 04:46 PM
my current laptop has windows XP tablet PC edition on it. i got it with XP
on it since i want to wait a while to upgrade to vista, either that or i
want to do a dual boot between XP and vista. either way, when i purchased my
notebook, there was an option to buy it with vista enterprise edition, and i
was wondering if anyone knows where i can purchase that version of vista,
instead of getting ultimate or business edition.

Difference between cross posting and multi posting
Posted: 10-21-2007, 05:24 PM
Your question has already been answered in another group!

Difference between cross posting and multi posting:

Cross posting is when you post *ONCE*, but choose a few multiple groups to
deliver the post to. When your question is answered in one group, it
automatically appears in the other groups as well. This is the correct way
to address multiple groups.

Multi posting is when you post the same message to multiple groups but do it
individually. This is frowned upon because a person may run across the post
a day later and read it yet again, not realizing that he already answered
the question.

Multi-posting is a waste of bandwidth, money (if one is still on dial-up),
and people's time, with no advantages whatever, and should be avoided.

Please consider the alternative and cross post.

Can I assume (bad word) that you are using Windows Mail? I am not familiar
with other news readers.

When you click "reply group" and then click on "Newsgroups" to the left of
the address bar, do you see a listing of the other groups you have
subscribed to?

Are you directly addressing the Microsoft News Servers at
msnews.microsoft.com - or are you getting here some other way?
