URL extend

Hey,
I want to see a nas ( \\nasxxx\share ) in internet explorer for macos9 but
when I do return the url changes. It makes
www.\\nasxxx\share.com ????
Where can I change this.

I'm not sure what a "nas" is, but from what you have written, I'm
guessing you are carrying over a poor usage habit from the Windows
world. In the Windows world, IE is your file browser and your web
browser. Gets very weird indeed, as in this case.

I think you are actually trying to access a share on a Windows machine.
In that case, back when I last used OS 9 to do this (which, I admit, was
some years ago), I needed to install Dave <http://www.thursby.com/>.

Check it out, and remember, Internet Explorer is not the file browser
for Mac OS (regardless of version). The 'Finder' is. Makes a lot of
sense, really. Nonetheless, the \\server\share syntax looks like Windows
sharing syntax (CIFS or SMB), which in OS 9, requires 3rd party software
to access (last I checked).

Thanks I will try , my NAS ( network storage Aera ) is behind linux OS !!!!
not windows.
