USB storage device detected but cannot be opened

Hello,
I am having a problem with an external USB storage device.
I run XPpro on P4 2.66 with ASUS P4C800 Deluxe motherboard
and when i plug my 128Mb USB device, XP detects it (Make,
model, everything), but cannot access it and shows it to
be 0 bytes in size. This device works on other XP and ME
machines.
