USB to micro USB connection problems

Hi Gang,

I have an RCA Lyra 1021 mp audio player and an HP
photosmart 635 digital camera that both use a USB to
Micro USB connection. They both operate flawlessly on my
Dell Desktop, but do not connect to my Dell inspiron 2650
laptop.

Help me.
