| I'm the administrator and it still asks me for permission to do things like put stuff in the recycle bin. That's redundant and shouldn't pop up. So I turned it off and there's a warning in the quicklaunch tray to turn it on. | Is it possible to remove/uninstall this future? I don't like pressing that button over and over again. "Ben" wrote: Quote:

| I am confused by UAC. I want to create a shared network folder called share in C:\Share. I have a folder on my Desktop that contained files I wanted to make available to other users on my local network. I created the folder C:\Share. I then opened my computer and browsed to C:\Share, which I have full control of. I try to move the folder from my desktop to the newly created c:\share and I dont have permissions to do that. Ok... I run a command window as administrator I try the move command, it replies with access denied. I check permissions, I have full control of both folders. I then turn off UAC, now I can move the folder with no problems. My question is this. How can I do this without turninig off UAC. | Guest

| I would like to remove a particular program on my desk top from "Account User Control". I know that this is possible because I've done it before, but I can't remember how I did it before. I just want it to be that when I choose this program it starts without asking me if it's OK to continue> | Guest

| Right click the shortcut Select Properties Click Advanced Uncheck Run as Administrator This might cause the program to not function correctly if it requires admin rights. James "Mike" wrote: Quote:
