| Up until I did the updates for Windows XP Home Edition, I used to be able to get to my desktop without having to go through the log in page. Now, after the updates, I have to click on Owner just to get to my desktop. I have DSL and I hardly ever read the updates I put on there, so I ended up downloading this ridiculous update even after I reformatted my hard disk for unrelated reasons. I looked at the Add/Remove Programs list to see if I can locate the malicious little devil (Hotfix) that did this update, but I could not find it. This is truly a pain in the butt and I would really love to get rid of this. Please, please email me if you have any suggestions on how to get rid of it. My email is guitarologist2010@yahoo.com Thank you. | Guest

| This problem happens if you have installed the .NET Framework update from Microsoft windowsupdates page. You need to configure Windows to automatically login: Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok. Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and click Ok. -- Ramesh - Microsoft MVP http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com ~ Please reply to newsgroup ~ "Guitar" <guitarologist2010@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:090601c3ae99$132ab0a0$a301280a@phx.gbl...
