"User Password Expired"

My PC and Laptop are networked using a 3Com ISDN LAN
Modem. I have never been asked for a password when I
want to look into the laptop from the PC. Today, I
cannot access the laptop (from PC)and the connection is
showing as "dissconnected". Message says that "User
Password has Expired".
Recently downloaded loads of upgrades for Windows XP (Ser
Pack etc) and MS Office.
Any Ideas?
