User profile

Set up new laptop with Vista Home Premium a few weeks ago. Installed
software, configured desktop and started using.
Suddenly, when booting up, I get error message "Your user profile was not
loaded correctly. You have been looged on with a temporary profile".
Simultaneously, my desktop returned to basic configuration, my startup files
no longer included my preferences etc.
Any suggestions how I can get the user profile loaded again?

my dell i6400 vista home premium says user profile cannot be loaded
i cant get into the pc at all .. any ideas please

I am unable to logon to my administration account at the welcome screen and
when trying to switch between accounts on Vista. I receive the message
"unable to load user profile".

Any help please?

how can I save the user profile in windows vista?
