user profile service failed the logon

I logged off my computer, then shut it down. tried to log on and it says
the message . the user profile service failed the logon. user profile
cannot be loaded. i have windows vista home premium any help
appreciated , no other users set up on the computer, i am a bit of a
novice so simple explanations please. i am currently using my parents
computer
