| I am runing XP pro on a latop and I have external hard drive (via firewire) and all works well. My internal HD is almost full and I have loaded some programs onto the external HD which is only formated in NTFS. I have created a file on this HD called 'program files" but when I chose to store my programs to this locations they don't always store all there files within there apropriate folder. Is there another way to accomplish this correctly? | Guest

| Provided when you install programs you tell the program you wish to perform a custom install (on say d:\), as much as possible with be installed on the external drive. However some files such as Registry entries, common files etc MUST still be on the c:\ drive. If possible, uninstall some of the programs you currently already have installed on c:\ and then reinstall on d:\ to help you recover some more drive space.
