| I just got a new notebook for my daughter with Vista Basic. The wireless adapter connected to the home network wireless router (non-secure) automatically with no issue. Used that connection to upgrade to Vista Home Premium. Now Vista Home Premium will not connect. The Wi-Fi network is recognized but will not connect. I tried the solution found at the following site but to no avail. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928233/en-us Any suggestions? | Guest

| Can you go to a cmd prompt and type in ipconfig /all With that do you get an IPv4 address (preferred)? and a gateway. If so, ping the gateway. If it replies ping 4.2.2.2 if that replies ping yahoo.com let me know where it doesn't reply "costelr" wrote: Quote:

| Costelr, I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble. Does this still occur for you? If so, what is the error message you're given when you try to connect to the unsecured network? "costelr" wrote: Quote:
