Very basic install question

Default Very basic install question

I'm new to downloading the beta OS images, and thus need some context. The
file is type .ISO, and it doesn't self-install. Is there an install app that
needs to be downloaded, or does one have to burn the image to a DVD and boot
from that, etc.?

Thanks!

OK - Daemon Tools (www.daemon-tools.cc) so you can mount the image
virtually, or burn using Nero Burning ROM )

Its not required that you burn the image to a DVD, but its the most common
way of installing Vista. You could use software that will mount the ISO as a
DVD and install the software normally, examples include NERO Image Drive and
Daemon Tools.

Doing well with Daemon Tools that mounts the ISO image. Very nice. Thanks for
the referral.

Now, if only the Connect site would work Seems to be some kind of
collapse of the Passport service.

It was already answered in your first post. But whatever:
ISO = CD Image
--> use something like Nero to record the image to DVD.

(but honestly, if you don't know about ISO Images I'm not sure if you should
betatest)
