Very small problem with copy and paste in Word for Mac microsoft.public.mac.office.word

When I copy something in Word, I get these solid bold black bracket
things around the section that was copied.

Is there a way to make these NOT show?

Hui David:

They are "bookmarks". They should disappear if you:

A) Do not copy text that is contained by a bookmark, or
B) Use Word>Preferences>View to disable the display of bookmarks.

Personally, I would leave them there: they are a useful reminder that if you
edit to close to them, you may break your document.
