Video Card (ati radeon 9000 agp) not working

Posted: 10-17-2003, 11:33 PM
Im running a FIC motherboard with a VIA km266 north
bridge. I recently purchased a RADEON 9000 agp and
installed it. The problem occured after installation and
the graphics card will not load. In the hardware manager
the error message says "This device cannot find enough
free resources that it can use. (Code 12)" and that i
need to disable a device to make it run. The motherboard
has S3 ProSavageDDR integrated graphics and that may be
the problem, but i have the newest version of my BIOS
(award) and all drivers (GART and agp port for the
motherboard) are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Feel free to email me at the given adress.
Thank You.

Have you tried disabling the onboard chip in the cmos setup?

Yes, I looked throught my CMOS setup, and motherboard
manual, and it seems that the built in graphics want to
stay as the main display driver. I have been through the
setup and installation process several times and the
problem continually arises. One thing i forgot to
mention, there is a functioning hardware device set as
RADEON 9000-Secondary. I have tried to uninstall this
device(and have suceeded to the point were it is out of
the hardware manager) but it is always reinstalled once i
restart. I may be fighting a unbeatable battle here but
I would like to try and make this work.

What m/board do you have? All that i've come across allow onboard
devices to be disabled.
