It's a feature, turn it off when you import video files. Remove the check
mark from "the Create clips for video files" in the Import File dialog box.

The Kodak movie format is Apple
Quicktime and the .resulting .mov
files are not compatible with Movie
Maker. Converting to .wmv or .avi
would be your best bet.

The full retail version of Apple
QuickTime can convert the files.

And...The following articles discuss
possible ways to convert .mov files
to a usable format .

Using Rad Video Tools

Convert .mov using TMPGEnc
and the TMPGEnc Mov Plugin

Also...the free software Super may
be worth a try:

Universal Player Encoder & Renderer

(the mirror download site is faster)
