Video clips preview window play pass the cropped area of video.

Okay, I am currently using Windows Movie Maker to edit videos I recorded with
my capture device.

When I crop a section of a clip, I test the start and end of where I cropped
it. The problem is, when I play the selected scene in the preview window,
wherever I cropped that video, it STILL PLAYS PASS the cropped area until the
very end of the recorded video. So in other words, It's almost impossible for
me to determine where I cropped the video when I preview the clip.

For example, if the video is 4 minutes, I crop a scene from 1:30 to 2:00. I
select this scene. Instead of the cropped scene stopping at 2 minutes, it
keeps playing until the 4 minute mark of the entire video.

I looked all around for options to see if I could fix this, but no luck.
Currently using Windows XP, Service Pack 3, WMM version 2.1.4026.0

I have not had this kind of problem until now.
