Video feed from VCR

Can I do this, is it worth it, should I even bother ? Any suggestions to a beginner. Got a new Compaq S5200NX PC with Windows XP Home Edition and want to play with MovieMaker. What else do I need ? Thanks.

You don't need anything more to start playing with Movie Maker... just start
with whatever you already have on your computer.

i started making movies with my web cam when i first got my computer
They still make me laugh.
