Are you sure your MOBO supports more that 4GB of RAM? If yes does the BIOS
indicate that you have 8GB installed.

Try asking here http://www.evga.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=38 . There don't
seem to be any reports of problems similar to yours.

I re-read part of the thread, but didn't see if anyone asked you this...
does your motherboard recognize all of your available RAM during the
bootup hardware list / bootup RAM test?
