Vista 64 Install Error

Ok,

I've spent days trying to get Vista 64 installed on my system. Vista 32
installs just fine and i'm running it right now without issues. In fact, i
have to do nothing extra to get 32 vers installed, just boot from the dvd and
it installs completely without extra drivers, etc.... Vista 64 is not the
same.

I have a Raid 0 setup on a Via 8237 chipset(again Vista 32 installs without
extra drivers for this setup). I put in my Vista 64 DVD and boot, get the
gray screen "Copying files" then a brief black flash and bam...stop error.
There is no program listed only the error 0x0000001e and that's it. I tried
safe mode and get the same thing. The last file listed is disk.sys then
bam...same stop error. This is being installed on a newly NTFS formatted
partition. Again when I install Vista 32 it installs just fine after
formatting the partition to ensure a clean drive.

Ok, so i think it's a bad DVD..reburn at slowest speed go through the same
process and bam...stop error. Ok, it's a bad download...re-download(takes
forever) reburn and bam...same error.

Ok, i think it's having difficulty with my Raid and I can't get to the point
of installing my Raid drivers because I never get to that option before the
error. SO, i download a trial of XP64(which installs perfectly i might add),
put in my Vista 64 DVD and get the install screen. It sees all of my raid, i
choose the partition I want to install to, format it(just to be sure) and
click the install driver, it installs my VIA RAID 64 driver(same as the xp 64
driver) perfectly fine, copies all files, decompresses files, then
reboots...then guess what..bam...another stop error..same exact error as
every time before.

I've pretty much decided I can't seem to run the 64 version as much as i'd
like. Does anyone have any other suggestions for getting this to work??
Sorry for the length, just wanted you to know ALL the steps i've taken to
this point.
