vista and age of empires 3

Does any one know if the age of empires 3 game works with vista??
i installed it, it only loads up to the intro sequence befor i get a display
message saying i dont have mp3 codec support,
i downloaded an mp3 codec and installed it and vista still says it cant find
the codec?

Any ideas would be appreciated
