Vista and DVD drive problem

Posted: 09-27-2007, 12:53 PM
Have a problem with Vista Ultimate writing to a Pioneer 109 DVD drive
(burning dvd disk).
Firmware version 1.40
Gets a bad block error every time.
Other DVD burner works well.
Strange thing is that both drives work well using XP Pro
Both drives are on their own IDE channel.
Under Vista, both IDE's are ultra DMA mode 2
Other DVD is an LG GSA-H42N
The problem becomes apparent using Nero Express burning software.
Different versions..
XP Nero Express 6.x.......
Vista Nero Express 7.10.1.0
Hmm maybe thats a clue!

Anyone struck anything similar
TIA for any help
Rick
