Vista and Older Office Suites

Posted: 01-30-2007, 12:15 AM
I am purchasing a new laptop with Vista. I am being told that the full
verison I have of Office 2003 Professional cannot be installed on a system
with Vista. Is this true? Is Microsoft really going to force me to purchase
a complete copy of Office 2007? Also, a lot of the databases I manage are
running on systems as old as Access 97. Can this be installed on a Vista PC?

Thanks,

I have Office 2003 Pro on a desktop machine, it works fine, no issues. It
was already on the system when I upgraded it to Vista Ultimate but if it
works now/that way, I don't see why you couldn't install it onto a machine
already with Vista on it.

Office 2003 works perfectly on Vista (Business Edition, haven't tried
it on any of the others).

Office 2003 works great on Vista. 2007 works best, as it's part of their
"Power Together" campain to sell both!
