Vista as a router

Posted: 08-20-2007, 06:51 PM
Hi,

I have a Vista PC with two network interfaces.
I would like to make it act as a router between
the two subnets.

How can I get that with Vista?

I played with ICS, but apart from the fact that I do
not need NAT, it forces one IP to change to some
168.x.x.x fixed address.

Thanks

Legrandin

Don't know if this will work in Vista or not.

The registry key is there in Vista. Let us know the results.

That should work... Here is a KB article describing the same key for XP...

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315236/en-us

It works here forwarding SOCKS proxy traffic on a Vista Ultimate box I use
as a SSH server...
