| Can anyone suggest how to make Windows Vista Home Premium automatically restart after a household power failure? Our power flickers sometimes, crashing the machine. As long as it reboots on its own I can live with that, but I need it to restart--it's a server. Right now it remains powered off until I push the power button. Windows XP used to follow the last choice you made when manually shutting down, so if that was "Restart," it would automatically reboot itself. Note that I am not concerned with automatic restart after a system failure (BSOD). Any help would be appreciated. | Guest

| This can be set in your BIOS. Restart your computer, and press Del or F10 to enter the BIOS while the computer is booting up. Look for a setting in power management to set the computer to turn back on after a power fail. This is different for every BIOS. -- MAXIMUMpcguides.com Helping you get the MOST out of your Vista PC. -- "DRM" <DRM@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:31CA1DF3-E135-4D95-BE1A-B43FFEADED6B@microsoft.com...
